Zee TV’s Mera Naam Karegi Roshan To Go Off Air

Zee TV will be chopping down more shows in the coming month and this time it is the turn of Hats Off's production 'Mera Naam Karegi Roshan', which started its journey just four months back.

It seems that the show has failed to attract the viewers and accumulate TRPs even after the replacement of the female lead. The show is reportedly going off air on December 9, much before completing even six month.

'Mera Naam Karegi Roshan' is the story of a young girl 'Reet', who stands for justice at every situation. She is the daughter of a rich man living near Ayodhya. Initially, Sana Sheikh was playing the character of 'Reet' and then Amrapali Dubey of 'Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein' fame replaced her with a hope to give a much needed boost to the show.

All the efforts of the channel failed to attract the viewers and now they have decided to take it off air. However, the show was doing comparatively better than many other shows like newly launched 'Dil Se Diya Vachan' but it had to face the wrath of the channel.

For now, the time slot will be allotted to 'Zee Rishtey awards' for 3 to 4 weeks but later a new show produced by Rajesh Pavitran is likely to take this slot.

Producer J.D Majethia confirmed the news but left the final word to the channel.
